    About Me

First I would like to welcome you to my profile. My name is Dr. Amr Kireem, and I am a clinical psychologist and licensed therapist. I believe you will find it much easier than you might think to begin your journey with me. I am here to make you feel comfortable enough to open up and share as much as you like. There’s no judgment here at all. I can promise you will experience genuineness, empathy, and unconditional acceptance. I have been providing mental health services since 2009 to clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, substance use, or just going through life stages transition. We all need help at some point of our lives and that is Just Ok.

    My Treatment Approaches

While I tend to focus on CBT since it is the effective modality, I found other approaches such as DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodynamic, and others to work the best with certain disorders. I learned to focus on what you struggle with and need to change. I believe treating you as a whole person, not just focusing on the disorder, is essential to positive change. our disorder is just one part of our personalities. Hence, I need to know you well in order to tailor the treatment plan that fits with you.

Fighting addiction, depression/anxiety is not an easy task. I have been working with clients since 2009 who struggle with some of these symptoms. Applying evidence-based approaches, changing clients faulty assumptions, and finding HOPE are the keys to a successful outcome, while keeping the individual culture and ethnicity in mind. “It is not one size fits all.”

Empathy, genuine acceptance, and understanding are essential to change and are the road to establishing a therapeutic alliance with you.
